What Are Essential Fatty Acids?
There are two essential fatty acids (EFAs) that the body requires for health, but that it cannot manufacture itself. These two EFAs are linoleic and linolenic acids. EFAs have several vital physiological functions. They increase metabolic rate, improve metabolism, increase oxygen uptake and increase energy production.
