Cosequin Chewable Tablets - Double Strength

Cosequin is a patented, scientifically researched nutritional supplement dispensed by thousands of veterinarians to help dogs maintain healthy joints. As dogs age, it is common for their joints to become less flexible which impacts their mobility and quality of life. You may have noticed that your dog has difficulty walking up stairs or jumping on the bed. While he used to be eager to play, now he is content to rest. Even at younger ages some dogs are subject to joint health concerns which affect flexibility and mobility.

Recommendation as a Supplement: The initial administration period is 4 to 6 weeks. Most animals should respond within this period. Improvement on Cosequin can range from gradual to dramatic. If the improvement is gradual, it may go unnoticed by the owner. It is therefore important to keep the animal at the initial amount for at least 4 to 6 weeks before deciding to discontinue the use of Cosequin. If there is gradual improvement and Cosequin is discontinued, a regression of clinical status can occur.

Tablets can be directly fed to pet or crumbled and mixed with food.

Directions:
Initial Administration (4-6 Weeks)
Divide Dosage Between Am and PM
10-24 lbs: 1 tablet daily
25-49 lbs: 2 tablets daily
50-100 lbs: 3 tablets daily
Over 100 lbs: 4 tablets daily

Maintenance Administration (After initial 4-6 week period)
Divide Dosage Between Am and PM
10-24 lbs: 1/2 tablet daily
25-49 lbs: 1 tablets daily
50-100 lbs: 1-2 tablets daily
Over 100 lbs: 2 tablets daily

The amount can be increased at any time depending on the pet's needs. If the pet does not respond as well when the level is decreased, then return to previous level. Remain on this amount for a month, then try again to gradually reduce. Sometimes an every other day amount or lowering the amount by 1/2 tablet rather than one tablet can be successful. Some pets will maintain at a lower amount during the summer months than the winter months. Also activity level can vary the requirements. In times of high physical demand, pets may require more Cosequin.

Chewable. Cosequin is palatable to dogs, cats and birds.
