GME (Goats Milk Esbilac) - 5 lb Powder

Directions for Mixing GME Powder:
Gently stir or shake one part powdered GME into two parts warm water (a part is a teaspoon, tablespoon or cup). Do not mix more GME than can be consumed in 24 hours. Reconstituted GME should be kept refrigerated.

Directions for Feeding:
All puppies should receive their mother"s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. This colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.

Warm reconstituted GME to room or body temperature. Feed puppies 2 tablespoons liquid (30 mL) per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Puppies needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Young and/or weak puppies should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Older puppies can de well being fed every 8 hours. Weigh the puppies 3 times a week to assure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for advice.

The PetAg 4 oz. Small Animal Nurser is suited for feeding most puppies. When puppies are old enough to lap, begin offering reconstituted GME in a shallow container. During the 3rd or 4th week mix reconstituted GME with Esbilac 2nd Step Puppy Weaning Food. This will allow the puppy to gradually switch to solid food.

Pregnant and lactating bitches:
Mix powdered GME into the daily ration at the rate of 2 teaspoons per 5 lb (2.2 kg) body weight until 2 weeks after whelping.

Storage:
Reconstituted GME must be refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to 3 months, or can be frozen for up to 6 months.
