Primor is a prescription medication used in dogs for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections (wounds and abscesses), and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Pets should be encouraged to drink plenty of water while being given Primor.

Primor may be given with food.

Benefits:
Treats skin and soft tissue infections (wounds and abscesses)
Also effective against urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Single, comparatively low dose provides rapid and sustained therapeutic blood levels.

Directions:
For all weights of dogs:
The initial dose is 25mg per pound of pet's body weight on the first day of treatment followed by 12.5mg per pound of pet's body weight given once a day thereafter. Treatment should continue for at least 2 days after symptoms disappear.

Tip:
If your pet shows no improvement after 2 or 3 days, have your veterinarian re-evaluate your pet's diagnosis. Treatment should not exceed 21 consecutive days.
