•Silicon plays a basic role in bone formation and calcification. Decalicification or bone thinning, is always preceded by a disappearance of tissue silicon. Silica is essential for synthesis and maintenance of elastine and collagen fibers in the whole of the connective tissue system (including ligaments, fascia, discs, skin).

•An unusually high level of bound silicon has been detected in arterial wall tissue, especially in the inner-most layer of the arterial wall. This suggests that silicon is necessary for the integrity and stability of the arterial wall. The connective tissue changes prominent with aging bear a direct correlation with the decrease of tissue silicon.

•Silica acid seems to bind cholesterol in the bile and prevent it from being reabsorbed in the blood. Processing and refining of foods removes a large part of our silicon dietary supply.

•Because of the multiple roles played by this trace mineral in normal growth and development of bones, teeth, connective tissue, skin, hair and nails, an adequate dietary intake of silicon, a crucial nutritional factor, should be assured. The silicon content of the horsetail herb allows for high yields of the correct form of soluble/colloidal silica.

Ingredients:
Horsetail herb, microcrystaline cellulose from rice, vegetable zein.

Suggested Use:
1 to 3 tablets daily in the beginning. Start with 3 and reduce to 2 after two weeks, then reduce to 1 and continue. Go back to three if under stress.
