ToxiBan Suspension effectively adsorbs alkaloids (strychnine),organochlorine, organophosphate and carbamate insecticides, herbicides, rodentcides, parasificides, depressants and analgesics. ToxiBan Suspension may be useful in treating ethylene glycol (antifreeze) poisoning. Tests for ethylene glycol must be conducted before ToxiBan is administered to prevent false positive reactions.

ToxiBan Suspension should be administered as soon as ingestion of poison is suspected or at the onset of symptoms. Animals poisoned with strychnine should be sedated with intravenous injections of sodium pentobarbital or by other suitable methods. ToxiBan Suspension is then given by rapid oral infusion. In cases of poisoning by nicotine or depressants, artificial respiratory and administration of oxygen may be indicated.

Dosage:
The recommended dosage is 5 to 10 mL per pound. Rinse liquid receptacle with cold water and administer rinsings. Give orally by causing the animal to drink cold water. Repeat with the lower dosage every 6 to 8 hours for 3 treatment if necessary. Consult a veterinarian should administration by stomach tube be needed.
