An easy way to teach your dog to “sit”. Jul 27 2014
Stand directly in front of your dog, with a treat in your hand. Slowly move the treat up and then over his head. Your dog will naturally lean backwards in order to keep his eyes focused on the treat. When you see your dog starting to sit, say “sit”. Once he sits, reward him with the treat.
