Vetmedin (Pimobendan) 1.25 mg x 50 ct

Used in the management of certain types of congestive heart failure in dogs. This medication increases the ability of the heart to pump blood. Pimobendan is in a class of heart treatments named "inodilators". These medications increase the heart muscle's ability to contract and also open up the blood vessels taking blood to and away from the heart. This reduces the heart's workload as it pumps blood throughout the dog's body.

Dose and Administration:
Vetmedin should be given by mouth. Unless otherwise recommended by yourveterinarian, the total daily dose should be divided into 2 portions. The portionsshould be administered 12 hours apart(i.e., morning and evening). The tabletsare scored and dosage should be provided to the nearest half tablet increment.
