Product Summary:

Atopica for Dogs

Atopica for dogs is a non steroidal treatment for long term care of atopic dermatitis. Atopica contains cyclosporine, an immunosuppressive agent used to treat diseases and disorders caused by an overactive immune system.

Benefits:
Atopica is used to treat itching and skin lesions caused by atopic dermatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and other dermatological conditions. Atopica is safe long for long term treatment with out some of the side effects associated with steroids.

For use:
Dogs (at least 6 months of age and weighing at least 4 lbs)
Active ingredient(s):
cyclosporine

Cautions:
Atopica is not for use in breeding , pregnant or lactating dogs. Do not use Atopica if your pet has a history of cancer. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication or supplements you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. The following drugs can potentially interact with cyclosporine: gentamicin, amphotericin B, ketoconazole, erythromycin, cimetidine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.

Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Side effects:
Side effects may include loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea. Your pet may also experience liver and kidney problems. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.

Usage:
Atopica should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian.

The generic didn’t work for my dog! This was a great way to save and get the same drug as I bought at a pharmacy. Great service too! I would absolutely recommend his site.

KV offers great service
This is my first time ordering from KV and unfortunately, UPS delivered my package to someone else. I contacted KV and they were super responsive and sent out Henry's replacement Atopica ASAP. I was very impressed with the service and the prices cannot be beat!! LOVE.

Effective but expensive Atopica
The 100 mg capsule is huge. It is a battle to get my dog to swallow the capsule daily. But, without the daily dosage, my dog’s skin and ear infections return within a couple days.
