Best Purchase Ever
I rescue hunting dogs and started to buy these ball. Nothing that I have found will occupy these dogs time. They absolutely love them. My husband takes the small balls out for them, plays and then the small ball back. I highly recommend these for dogs that love to retrieve.
Best Toy Ever
Our 4 Springer Spaniel girls have never enjoyed a toy more than this. They play with them for hours and prance around the yard carrying them. Love that it floats in the pool. They stand by the pool waiting for it to come to the side so they can get it and play more.
NOT FOR MULTIDOG HOUSEHOLDS
I have 4 Large dogs, at first they loved the toy enough to fight over it but within 1 hour they all walked away from it....guess it is too much work to get the treats out of it. You will have to cut up any treat you want to put into it.
not as durable as I expected
I bought this toy for my 7 month old Golden, who destroys just about everything he can get his teeth on, because other reviewers recommended it for aggressive chewers. It took Logan about a week to enlarge one of the holes to get the inside ball out. The inside ball is soft plastic so it was destroyed in no time--fortunately I got the pieces away from him before they were ingested. He still plays with and gnaws on the big ball.
GREAT!!
We have bought so many of these type of toys for our 1 1/2 year old boxer. She has torn everything up or lost interest. Hands down this is the best we have had! 3 months and still going strong. The dog loves it! She plays with it almost daily.
a winner
I am a very large mixed breed dog who loves to work for my food. This ball keeps me working for longer than any other food dispensing toy we have tried (& I think I tried them all) Seriously it slowly dispenses the kibble and he loves the challenge.
Sorry I bought the puzzle ball
Be careful who you buy it for. I bought this toy for my bull terrier as he has torn up every other toy I bought him - but when he came inside his nose was bloody from trying to reach the ball inside. I left the toy outside, thinking my Bostons might play with it. Later had to pry one of my Boston Terrier's head out as it was stuck through the hole. Can't send it back because it has been used - how would I have known before-hand?
Perfect for Large Breeds!
My Aussie LOVES this treat ball. She usually destroys anything that touches her mouth, but this ball is still going strong 4 months later. She even plays with it without filling the treat ball. Excellent design!
Elkhound loves it!
If you know Elkhounds, they are cleaver and destroy toys. Loki loves this toy and plays with it as long as he gets treats. Great thinking toy for a cleaver dog. Very good purchase for price.
Amazing
I have a 5 year old 60lb Pit X. He has chewed through every "indestructible" toy on the market. This is the only product that has lasted. He plays with it for hours and has a great time.
Great Toy for ADD Chewer
My very active golden loves this - picks it up almost every night even without treats in the inner ball. Seems to engage his mind and mouth rather than being just another chew toy. We struggled to find tough toys. This one has lasted a year and looks nearly new which, given the expense, is a good thing.
You will not be disappointed!
Holy cow, I LOVE this toy! We have too active Golden Retrievers. Theyre need alot of attention. We got this when we just had the female and she played with it for hours! Now we also have a male. Whoever gets it first HOGS it. We are going to get another. As for the poster that actually said the hole in the small ball was too small, you just have to use the appropriate size kibble!!!! IF the holes were too big, you couldnt use small kibble or it would come out too fast! This is a wonderful toy and it keeps a dog occupied for a long time. My dogs not only roll it, but pick it up in their mouth and tip their head back to try to empty it. Thank you to whoever invented it!!!
This One is Awesome!
I have a four-month-old Great Dane and I almost passed this toy up. I'm so glad I didn't! Phoebe spent hours chewing, chasing, kicking, rolling and then chewing some more and barely marked the surface of this tough plastic ball. She especially liked the fact that, if she works hard enough, treats will fall out of the soft inner ball. I recommend this toy for anyone who has a large, active breed.
puzzle ball
It took my dog a week to figure out where the food was coming from! My 74lb 9 month old Chessie girl has been unable to destroy this toy... that is a first. I drilled a 1/2" hole in it and attached a nice heavy rope about 3' long. Since I put the rope on she really doesn't care if it has food in it or not.
Terrific fun!!!
My two Siberian Huskies have endless fun with this. I put their kibble inside the inner ball and they both roll the ball around to see who gets the kibble that has fallen out. They even enjoy playing with it without treats inside. They get very excited when they see me reach for the ball to fill it. No peanut butter needed. No directions needed. Its their favorite toy!!!
confusing
The directions say that the inner ball will dispense treats. The hole in the center ball is only about the diameter of a nickle, so would be difficult to load any typical treats, or expect them to be dispensed. There are no directions. If your dog does happen to be interested in the puzzle, perhaps you've smeared peanut butter on the inner ball, he needs to have long legs to manipulate it. It is not really possible for my corgi to do it.
