Product Summary:

Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Small Dogs
The performance you expect from a topical flea and tick treatment, in a non-messy, easy-to-use collar

The Seresto® Flea & Tick Collar for Small Dogs is an easy-to-use, effective way to kill and repel fleas and ticks. The innovative Sustained Release Technology offers odorless and non-greasy protection for up to eight months. It begins to kill fleas within 24 hours and ticks within 48 hours of initial application.

The Seresto® Flea & Tick Collar is for small dogs and features a 15-inch, easy-to-use, no-hassle, waterproof collar size. It can be used by puppies seven weeks and older, weighing up to 18 lb. It kills deer ticks, American ticks, brown ticks, and Lone Star ticks, as well as chewing lice. The dual action protection provides a continuous release of two active ingredients: Imidacloprid controls flea infestations, while Flumethrin effectively repels and kills ticks. The combination works like a monthly topical flea and tick treatment, yet is designed to slowly release the ingredients in low concentrations for eight months.

Item Specifications:

Special Safety Feature:
Because some pet parents may be concerned that a small dog could get stuck while wearing the Seresto® Flea & Tick Collar, it is designed with a safety release mechanism, where in the unlikely event your dog is trapped, its own strength is sufficient to widen the collar and offer a quick release. Because the collar is equipped with a predetermined breaking point, a hard pull triggers the breaking of the collar at this point.

Directions for Use:
To ensure the easy to use waterproof collar is applied correctly, read the complete directions for use found in the package insert.

  • Once you are ready to fit the collar to your dog, remove from protective bag immediately prior to use.
  • Unroll collar remove the plastic connectors inside the collar, ensuring that no remnants remain.
  • Insert end of the collar through the buckle.
  • Adjust the collar around the dog’s neck without tightening it too tight (as a guide, two fingers should fit between the collar and the neck).
  • Pull excess collar through the loop(s) and cut off any excess length extending one inch beyond the loop(s).
  • Seresto® comes with three optional reflector clips that can be attached to the collar to help keep your dog visible at night. The reflector clips should be evenly distributed on the non-overlapping part of the collar.

pest-free for 8 months
Quality of life for my 3 dogs has been enhanced with this product. Imagine 8 months without the pestilence of fleas and ticks! Worth the price for the convenience. My dogs are out during the day and indoors at night. Works better than frontline . This is my 2nd round of 8 months and no fleas or ticks on the dogs.

Love the convenience of the product and it truly has worked for my 2 dogs, who are out in back yard most of the day

They were highly rayed against fleas and ticks. I have 3 dogs- 1 large and 2 small, and none of them had any ticks or fleas this past year. My back yard backs to woods and I have loads of deer, squirrels, fox and even coyote, on occasion, come through! Dogs did great! I am a cancer survivor and was not using flea collars after my chemo, trying to reduce my exposure to anything possibly damaging, to me. Just wash your hands thoroughly after touching the flea collars.

Recommended by veterinarian. Been using Advantage 2 but still getting occasional flea causing flea bite dermatitis. Flea apparently bites dog before it dies causing allergic reaction. Hopefully this will repel the fleas from even getting on him. Poor guy has been wearing an e-collar for months when left unattended - even with an allergy shot. Darned squirrels & rabbits!

How long is the collar effective?
Suzette on Jun 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Here in FL the collars last for 8 months. I use the small collar for dogs on my 2 cats instead of the break away for cats. My vet recommended this because of buckle failure with other. I also use the large dog collar for my Bullmasiff. Even after rain and his “hated” baths, the collars are still very effective and are worth the money. The only thing I think the company could improve would be add an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) to make the collars even more effective. Hope this helps.
