ZIMECTERIN Gold was the first dewormer approved by the FDA to effectively control tapeworms with a single dose. ZIMECTERIN Gold combines ivermectin, a leading ingredient that controls a wide variety of parasites, with praziquantel, an ingredient that specifically controls tapeworms. Together, they provide excellent equine parasite control. ZIMECTERIN Gold is approved to control more species and stages of equine parasites than any other brand, including benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles.1 It controls 47 species and stages of equine parasites in all.

Each 7.35 g syringe of Zimecterin Gold treats up to 1250 lbs.

Can now be used on foals as young as 2 months old.

Foals can be treated initially with ZIMECTERIN (ivermectin) at 6 to 8 weeks of age. Repeat routine treatment as appropriate. Each syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 1,250-pound horse at the recommended dose rate of 91 mcg ivermectin per pound (200 mcg/kg) body weight. Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers enough paste to treat 250 pounds of body weight.

Directions:
Step 1 - Slide the ring on the plunger to the prescribed weight marking. Lock it by turning 1/4 turn to the right.
Step 2 - Make sure your horse's mouth is clear of food. Uncap the syringe.
Step 3 - Insert the syringe tip as far back in the mouth as possible between the teeth.
Step 4 - Aiming the syringe toward the back of the tongue (not into the cheek pocket)., depress the plunger to deposit the paste.
Step 5 - Immediately raise your horse's head for a few seconds.

Ivermectin ...1.55%
praziquantel ...7.75%
Not for use in humans. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. In horses there have been rare reports of swelling and irritation of the mouth, lips and tongue following administration of ZIMECTERIN Gold. These reactions have been transitory in nature. Do not use in other animal species as severe adverse reactions, including fatalities in dogs, may result.
